What are the issues seafarers face?
Seafarers face many issues, ranging from breaches of basic human and labour rights, through to the under-representation of women and appalling practices like abandonment.
The ITF works across specific maritime sub-sectors and issues, with industrial task forces for cabotage, cruise ships and offshore, as well as the committees that provide technical advice to support our seafarer advocacy at the IMO, including the Maritime Safety Committee. Whatever the issue, we have the information you need.
