Send a message of support to the world’s seafarers - heroes of the pandemic let down by the world’s governments
This year the ITF will not be celebrating the International Day of the Seafarer. Governments are preventing more than 200,000 seafarers from stopping work, getting off ships and returning home – as is their fundamental human right. Add your message of support now.

Talk minus action = Nothing. Enough is Enough! The Canadian inspectors team supports all seafarers coming to Canadian ports. Not just on Day of the Seafarer, but every day.

2020's Day of the Seafarer will be for me the day of more than 200.000 persons waiting for tickets to family and vacation. The day that the world’s largest flag state Panama permitted that seafarers can stay up to 17 months on board. It became a day of shame as the maritime industry fails to look after its key workers who are keeping the business and the global economy running.
